YEARFRAC in Google Sheets

The YEARFRAC function returns a decimal value, representing fractional year between two dates. For example, the formula =YEARFRAC(“Jan 2020″,”Feb 2024”) returns the decimal value “4.083“.

Syntax

YEARFRAC(start_date, end_date, [day_count_convention])

start_date – Required. The start date to be use in the calculation.

end_date – Required. The end date to be use in the calculation.

[day_count_convention] – Optional (By default 0). Uses to indicate which day count method to choose. Available options are:
