WEEKNUM function in Google Sheets

The WEEKNUM function returns the week of the year (ranging from 1 to 54) where the given date falls. For example, the formula =WEEKNUM(“15 Aug 2020”) returns “33”, the 33th week of the year 2020.

Syntax

WEEKNUM(date, [type])

date – Required. The provided date, against which the WEEKNUM is required.

[type] – Optional. (The default value is 1) The optional argument that determines which day the week begins. Available options are:
