TIME function in Google Sheets

The TIME function enables you to get the time value from a given hour, minute and second components. For example, the syntax TIME(hour, minute, second) results hour:minute:second.

TIME(hour, minute, second)

hour – Required. The hour component of the required time value.

minute – Required. The minute component of the required time value.

second – Required. The second component of the required time value.

Using Notes

The #VALUE! error results if the given time components are not in number format.

The function takes the most recent valid time value if the numeric value falls out of valid ranges. For example, TIME(25,0,0) results 01:00 AM because the numeric value “25” is not a valid time value.
