How to select cells, ranges, rows, or columns in Excel

To select

Do this

A single cell Click on the cell or move with arrow keys to the cell.
A range of cells Select the first cell of the range, then move down (with arrow keys) to the last cell of the range while pressing and holding Shift button.
A large range of cells Select first cell of the range, scroll down to the last cell then press and hold Shift button while you click.
All cells on a worksheet Click on any cell and press Ctrl + A.
Nonadjacent cells or cell ranges Select the first cell of the range, press and hold Ctrl button, click one by one to select other cells or ranges.
An entire row or column For an entire row, press Ctrl + Shift + Right Arrow key. For an entire column, press Ctrl + Shift + down Arrow key.
Adjacent rows or columns Select the first row or column then move to your desired direction by arrow keys while pressing Shift key.
Cells to the last used cell on the worksheet (lower-right corner) First select the first cell then press Ctrl + Shift + End.
Cells to the beginning of the worksheet First select the last button then press Ctrl + Shift + Home.
