SYD function in Excel

Use

SYD function returns the sum-of-years’ digits depreciation of an asset for a specific period.

Syntax

=SYD(cost, salvage, life, per)

cost – The initial cost of the asset.

salvage – The salvage value of the asset after the useful life.

life – The useful life of the asset.

per – The period which must be used as the same units of life.
