Sum visible rows only in a filtered list

You can sum visible rows only in a filtered list by using the SUBTOTAL function, which automatically ignores hidden rows during calculation.

Follow these steps for the sum of visible rows only from a filtered list:

1– Type SUBTOTAL function in your desired cell (e.g. E9 in our example), a bullet will open.

 

2– Select ‘9’ against sum function.

 

3– After typing ‘Comma’, select cell references to add.

 

4– After pressing ‘Enter’, Excel will sum visible rows only.
